The latest addition to the Porsche 911 line-up is the Carrera 4 GTS - the top end version of the Carrera models that combines the Carrera GTS technology with an all-wheel drive twin. The new model will be put on sale in July with prices for Germany starting from 111,956 euro (about $160,000 at the current rates) for the coupe and 122,071 euro (about $175,000 at the current rates) for the convertible version. Prices for the US market will be announced at a later date.
The new Porsche Carrera 4 GTS is powered by a 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine, which is the same engine used in the Carrera S. The only difference in the engine is that it pushes out an additional 23 HP, getting the total number up to 408 HP. With this output and with the intelligent, all-wheel drive Porsche Traction Management (PTM), the new 4 GTS will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds for the coupe version and in 4.8 seconds for the cabriolet.
